How else can you describe the talking points of Michael Ignatieff in his latest talking points about trade on China when Liberals are threatening Oil sands export to the Asian markets?
...this motion really isn’t about stopping tankers. It’s about stopping the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline from Alberta to B.C., that would bring 500,000 barrels of oilsands oil a day to the coast for export to Asia.
The opposition doesn’t mind U.S. tankers off the B.C. coast or Saudi tankers coming up the St. Lawrence Seaway. They don’t mind B.C. tankers going in and out of Vancouver or Kitimat.
The Liberals voted in a symbolic motion to block oil from reaching the Asian markets from Alberta recently. The Liberals under Chretien-Martin made many high profile trips but DID NOT SIGN a single FREE TRADE deal in thirteen years. Brian Mulroney majority led government signed NAFTA and the unelected Liberal senators tried to block it. Today the media and liberal left seem to forget how Liberals tried to subvert the will of parliament.
Canada has a solemn duty to protect and defend Israel and Liberals refuse to acknowledge the failed "honest broker" position held by the previous government. Granted Ignatieff missed thirty four years of experiencing the Canadian way of life and he recently waffled on his defence of Israel in a speech in Ottawa on antisemitism. Ignatieff may not be up to speed on Canadian history and facts but if you are running for PM shouldn't you have a basic clue about our achievements?
Many left leaning dictatorships are against our mission in Afghanistan.
Canadians are proud of their country and feel strongly about their efforts on the international stage. We don't need dictators that have a vote in the UN telling us our efforts to bring freedom and development are not worthy. It is a pity the opposition parties would rather line up with the radical governments in the UN than our own military, foreign aid workers and federal government.
The fact Ignatieff has missed the most votes in 2010 in Parliament may also be responsible for his lack of details regarding our economic recovery, improved standing with China or negotiated trade deals

Canada is also very dependent on exports to the struggling Americans. As a small nation of thirty four million we can not keep our standard of living by turning to our domestic market. Fortunately Conservatives have been active on expanding trade to other countries as noted here, here and here.

A new media outlet is being championed by Quebecor called Sun TV for Canadians that have been tuning out the existing Canadian lineup for years. We will have an opportunity to choose the news without having to subjected to a bias against Conservatives. Freedom of Choice, market competition, Freedom of Speech are apparently not important those who drink the Liberal kool-aid.
I am not sure when but it appears basic fact checking and investigative journalism has been too expensive, time consuming, or unimportant. Does the Canadian media invest any time or effort in qualitative research any more?
Our media are busy in pushing a Tabloid narrative that is filled with mistakes of facts and the omission of historical context.

Is it the support of our "Canadian culture" by our Canadian public broadcasters to report on marital affairs by Americans? Is this the lead story in many markets?

In Canada our media repeatedly demostrates they are not smarter than a 5th grader. They are not interested in reporting on the problems, issues that matter with substantive research and fact checking. Instead our Canadian media have chosen to sensationalize the trivial routine matters as some affront to our democracy on a routine basis.

Is it possible the largest polluting countries do better when you use that criteria? China places 96th place when using per capita, the Falkland Islands is worse than Saudia Arabia when using per capita by country. Why would the Canadian Free Press use that comparison so often?

The support from Francophone in Quebec is the lowest and support for conflict, war always diminish over time. That is expected. Does the Canadian Free Press present that facts and historical context well?
We know the media ignored the Liberal contribution to the Iraq War. Canadians never cared about the use of prorogue until the media made it the cause celeb for nearly two months. and used by the Federal Government in 2008. It was incredible reading about the dictatorship in Canada by this minority government from experts of Liberal bias.
