Liberal Media unable to grasp with Conservative Majority

Media Hype: NDP win in Quebec and NWT
It has been several weeks since Canadians sent the two of the three opposition parties to the woodshed. The NDP were only successful in the province of  Quebec and NWT for popular vote. The left leaning experts in the media keep harping on some mystical "Orange Crush" and they continue to give the failed opposition parties too much credit for the 41st election results. It will be entertaining to watch the political pundits and actors on the left complain and decry the elimination and reduction of wasteful programs and policies.

NDP beat CPC in QC, NFLD and NWT
It has not dawned on the rejected opposition parties and the left leaning pundits that this majority government mandate can be repeated in four and half years. Abacus found 46% were somewhat or very satisfied with the majority Conservative government, while 41% were somewhat or very unsatisfied with that particular result. If the government delivers on it promises to focus on the economy and deal with significant issues, the Ottawa Hill chattering class will face another rebuke in next election with their political parties facing wider losses.

Liberals fertile ground  NFLD & PEI?
The NDP only picked up two new seats out the 95 available in West+North in 2011. In Ontario the NDP picked up only five seats additional seats out of the 106 available. The bulk of the NDP success can be attributed to one province that went gaga and punished every other political party a few weeks ago. Quebec's honeymoon with Jack will be entertaining to watch. Jack Layton is not Jack Sparrow and he will not have Hollywood backstopping the NDP in 2015. Jack will need to reach out to his base for donations. Some in our media have begun to asking the tough questions that were not asked during the campaign. The lack of substance on major files, the balancing the Quebec vs ROC interests will undermine "Orange Crush" and popularity of Jack Layton.

Next budget will sail through Vuvuzuela opposition MPs
The CPC victory a few weeks ago reflect a balanced distribution of their seats across Canada ex Quebec. The rout in Ontario for the Liberals has them reduced to eleven seats in Ontario. Newfoundland, PEI and Ontario were the only provinces that gave the Liberals a tie or a lead against the NDP.
Wiki 41st Election Map

The Ottawa - Toronto media will spend it's time chasing issues that don't matter to the average taxpayer that participated in our 41st election that sent the Conservatives a large majority. Watch for the Conservatives to move quickly on their platform and expand their reach in Ontario and Atlantic Canada for their next campaign in 2015. It is a great time to be a Conservative in Canada.

Socialism Retreating: Europe & North America

The left are deeply divided in Canada on how to steal power and suck more taxes from the productive members in society.
Our Democractic tradition of plurality (first past the post) vs for proportional representation (PR) is again getting publicity by our socialist engineers who are unhappy. Voters have rejected making changes in PEI, Ontario and BC.
The public soundly rejected the platform of the other leaders (three stooges) in a General election on October 14, 2008. Six weeks later, they tried again by foisting Stephane Dion as PM. The panic from their friends in the media inability's to reverse the slide is evident.
Bob Rae is not aging well and is in denial on what is important to Canadians, much like his rival Ignatieff. The Coalition was a bridge to nowhere.
...a flurry of polls late last week showed the exact opposite: an Ekos poll had Conservative support at 44 per cent, an Ipsos poll pegged it at 46 per cent, Praxicus placed it at 47 per cent, and Compas had the Conservatives at 51 per cent--with a massive 31-point lead over the Liberals.- December 9, 2008
The friends of socialism are busy trying to undermine the need for fiscal restraint by propping up the idea of another coalition of stooges with a new leader. The media are demostrating how out of touch they are with Canadians. They can keep pushing Iffy, Bobby as their next great white hope, to slay the evil right wing theocracy but Canadians are much smarter and have tuned out the noise. An election map would be evidence, but the friends of socialism don't actually bother themselves with inconvenient facts.
One Bailout too many. The left are always demanding taxpayers come to the rescue and support their friends.
By giving money to the banks, the governments, first of all, do not allow the financial system to become healthier, and secondly, they strengthen their own debt, and, thirdly, exacerbate the situation with the debts of financial sector. State leaders have forgotten the simple truth, that you cannot save the private sector at the cost of the bankruptcy of the state. - Death of Socialism or Death of Europe
In the U.S., Britain public support for the AGW apologists have taken a massive hit along with the media outlets. Many in the traditional media outlets have ignored, downplayed  the conflict of interests in the activities of politicans, bureaucrats regarding the Carbon Market Trading Scheme.
The traditional media has failed in appearing objective or unbiased with their own agenda. The internet has seen many websites replace the first place for fact checking and information.
Germany, Italy, Spain have begun to announce spending cuts in order to avoid the public loss of confidence and state bankruptcy.
The Czech Civic Democratic Party and others that pledged to cut spending won the most votes in parliamentary elections as Czechs chose budget restraint amid the European debt crisis.- Bloombery May 30, 2010 An interesting publicity stunt was done to increase the vote was done here.
The same is taking place in Canada and the U.S. with polls showing the public want their government to excercise restraint in dealing with the debt and elimination of sweetheart deals of corporate-union welfare.
The  political parties that get in the way of restraint, less spending will be joining the other political parties in the dustbin of history.

New Political Party: Pirate Party of Canada

Canada's chief electoral officer, Marc Mayrand, granted the Pirates eligible party status on April 12.
Links here. Interim leader of the Party is Jake Daynes. His LinkedIn is here.

The Coalition parties have been busy trying to raise taxes on copying devices.
MPs from the Liberals, Bloc, and NDP today all supported a motion at the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage to extend the private copying levy to devices such as iPods. The motion, proposed by Bloc MP Carole Lavallée, provided:

That the Committee recommends that the government amend Part VIII of the Copyright Act so that the definition of “audio recording medium” extends to devices with internal memory, so that the levy on copying music will apply to digital music recorders as well, thereby entitling music creators to some compensation for the copies made of their work. Elizabeth May, Green Party already feeling the heat?

Earlier, in an interview with Elizabeth May, leader of the Green Party, there were comments that there isn’t a need for a Pirate Party because there’s the Green Party who has similar stances on issues with copyright and patents. While it seems to be looking like the two parties might have their differences, we also noted that the Pirate Party of Sweden has already chosen to sit with the Green Party in the European election.

The Pirate Party is well aware of the video interview and we asked for their thoughts on the subject.
“The fact that the Green Party has already noticed us and is talking about copyright law is a huge early success for the Pirate Party.” Dusty Phillips, member of the Pirate Party of Canada responded. He then said, “Even if the Green Party had the same stance as us on privacy, digital rights, copyright, and patent law [...], they were not talking about these issues in the last election; no party was.”- Zeropaid

This is good news more interest and debate to raise the alarm bells of the tax levies from the parties in the coalition.

Liberal vs Conservatives-Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better

vs

It is funny watching the two major parties attack each other. This Battle of the Titans reminds me of a song I heard a long time ago. I remember watching it with Doris Day Robert Goulet. Here is a modern Disney Anime with Bernadette Peter and Tom Wopat-doing the audio.

"Anything You Can Do" is a song composed by Irving Berlin for the 1946 Broadway musical, Annie Get Your Gun.[1] The song is a spirited duet, with one male singer and one female singer attempting to out-do each other in increasingly complex tasks.
