It appears some Liberals will say anything to get elected. Too bad for them, most of us are not buying into their repackaged 70's snake oil called a Red Book. On May 2, 2011 a large number of MPs will be fired.
The polls are not lifting the Liberal leader. Some in the media are trying to their best to infuse life into the Liberal campaign. It's not working. The Toronto Sun is having a field day with Ignatieff the absentee MP. In 2008 Ignatieff was the Deputy leader and worked to push the Green Shift Platform resulting in the worst showing in over 150 years for the Liberals in popular support. Some Liberals think burying the Carbon Tax plan to a few parargraph on page 46 will work.
The Pollsters have found Ignatieff polling behind Layton on trust and confidence to manage the economy. Canadians were clear on wanting to wait until 2012. The opposition ignored the sixty per cent polled.
Each fringe opposition party has promised to vote against the Conservative budget regardless of the outcome. A large Conservative majority is the only viable option for four years of progress and quiet. A new media station will be able to provide news not being covered by the traditional outlets.
It is clear to most Canadians the communications strategy deployed by the Liberal left coalition is not working in driving support for a change in government. It appears the coalition are intent in continuing the vuvuzela effect in 2011. A cheap plastic noisemaker.
Will Michael Ignatieff's European Vacation provide him with an opportunity to improve on his messaging in 2011? Will the Liberals drop the political stunts in 2011 to focus on the economy and jobs? Many of us don't expect the Separatist Bloc or the NDP to be taken seriously but in tacking left and pretending to be socialists the Liberals are looking the least consistent. The Liberals gutted the health, education and social programs. Ignatieff talks about those cuts with pride and balancing the books on the most vulnerable.
Noisemaker of the Year?
After listening to the endless buzzing noises from the opposition benches about issues that don't matter to the majority of Canadians for the last few years, a new communication strategy is in order. If the Liberals fail to make the appropriate changes, Canadians will continue to tune out the opposition and MSM cheerleaders crying wolf every other week.
Chalk this up to another Bad Day at the Office or the Wheels coming off the bus. Watching Ignatieff is as entertaining as watching paint dry. Did he lose a bet and take this job?
Another interesting result from Angus Reid Public Opinion Poll conducted between July 6 - 8, 2010 of 2,031 Canadians. the Liberal team latest messiah to lead them back to the promised land.
Michael Ignatieff simply does not understand his rhetoric is crossing the lines of reasonable criticism in Canada. It is because he is out of touch with those he is trying to connect with from his long absence from Canada. He is ignoring his lack of leadership in whipping the votes for his own motions and blames others for his party lack of effectiveness in getting their act together.
In September 2009 his right arm in Quebec quit, Ignatieff does not get Canada and his circle of advisers from Toronto don't know how to fix it. Result the star candidate has moved on and left the Liberal ranks.
A moderate politician would NOT resort to invoking Hugo Chavez style rhetoric or denigrate Canada's human rights record when appeasing a room full of Chinese students. Canadians rightly view Ignatieff as the weakest link in the proposed coalition by the Liberal media.
Trudeau would have never made these amatuerish comments. When are Iggy's training wheels expected to be taken off? Is Ignatieff incapable of providing some adult conversation on a few detailed-costed policies and how the Liberals would do things differently?
The Liberal leader said his party is the only one that owns the centre of Canada’s political spectrum, noting Canadians can “smell the whiff of sulfur coming off” of Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who he said, is on the extreme right. - Iggy vows to win Canadians the old-fashioned way
Divide & Conquer: Fanning the flames of Intolerance of your opponent has been used in politics to demonize and boost the morale of your partisans for hundreds of years. If we take a critical examination on how the Liberal Party campaigned against the Reform Party, Canadian Alliance with the support of the mainstream media in tow.
GTA Liberals
The Liberal Party is falling apart, and will not recover. Like all liberal parties in Europe, it will become a weakling at the mercy of ephemeral coalitions. By refusing the historic coalition that would have placed it at the helm of the left, it will be punished by history. - Armageddon Liberals: 2010
"Image is very powerful. There is a certain proportion of the electorate, at least 25 per cent, who judges this on this basis. It makes a huge difference," says political economist Harold Chorney.
Separtist at Cheese factory
How does the leader of the leader of the official opposition, stack up with the leader of the regional separtist party that is overwhelmingly supported by a minority? What do Canadians think?
Gilles Duceppe earns the highest rating for foolish but beats Ignatieff on key personality traits that are required to build trust that in Ignatieff. He does NOT have the right stuff and would be unable to lead or negotiate any coalition deal that would protect Canada as he is seen as a boring, inefficient weakling by most Canadians in the latest poll.
The only politician that ranks in top ten? The intolerant left have their talkingpoints at least.
Liberals try out new mantra, with mixed results As reported in the Globe & Mail today, a new phrase began to appear in questions from Liberal MPs in yesterday's Question Period: "culture of deceit". Repeatedly, and on various issues, the Liberals accused the Conservatives of fostering a "culture of deceit". This, apparently, was something of a soft opening for a new Liberal strategy which borrows from the Conservative toolbox.
Canadian federal politics have turned into Groundhog Day - with Michael Ignatieff playing the role of Bill Murray. Prorogation, Afghan detainees, abortion funding, the Suaad Hagi Mohamud affair, H1N1 and native body bags, Jaffer-Guergis: Every month or two, there is some new overhyped Tory quasi-scandal that, my Liberal-shill Facebook friends assure me, will destroy Stephen Harper's support and catapult their party into government. Yet the poll numbers refuse to budge much from the same 5-to-10 point Tory lead. Why isn't Michael Ignatieff - who's now been Liberal Party leader for a year and a half -- failed to make any headway whatsoever. -Jonathan Kay National Post
Reader’s Digest - #1 Magazine By A Significant Margin
Reader’s Digest continues its reign as the number one magazine in the country, with 6.4 million readers; that is 2.4 million or 60% more readers than the nearest competitor. The magazine topped the PMB list once again this year as the most read magazine in Canada, a position it has held since the first national PMB study was conducted in 1973. Reader's Digest not only delivers the number one audience overall but also the number one audience relative to key audience segments like Women 18-34, Upper Income Adults ($100M+ Household Income) and Women 25-54 With Children. “We’re delighted by the growth we see in our audience numbers among younger segments like Adults 25-34 which is up 4% over the previous PMB release”, says Larry Thomas, Vice President & Publisher. “Business segments like Managers, Professionals and Owners are also up 6%, and major urban centers such as Toronto and Calgary are up 3% and 23% respectively”.
Brand Awareness is very important. How is the Liberal brand performing in Alberta, British Columbia, Quebec?
Will the scandals, resignations, call for investigations reach the Federal Liberals?

Will the loss of trust of the current leadership in the provinces, increased taxes, user fees imposed by the provincial Liberal governments affect the federal campaign, brand awareness, and get out the vote for Federal Liberal Party of Canada?
There are too many stories to link regarding the work by the Federal Government in working cooperatively on projects for Ontario.
Many of us believe the Liberals, NDP, Bloc in Ottawa are unable to focus on the big issues for many reasons. The gap in leadership, trust is too large for the opposition and have shifted to a negative, destructive strategy of personal and character assassination to protect their vulnerable seats.
