Liberals on Road To Nowhere: Fantasy Tour 2010

"Canadians are itching for Liberals to get our act together so they can finally try us on for size."  is not the only narrative pushed by the Liberal bloggers.

  1. Hold the snickers over Ignatieff’s boonie tour
  2. Michael Ignatieff: Farewell University Tour 2010
  3. Ignatieff Back To Campus Tour
Canadians are busy, politics is simply NOT one of our past times. We briefly got engaged when three clowns tried to steal an election result in 2008. Does anyone really care if the Liberals are polling below twenty four per cent? Does anyone really care Elizabeth May is trying to avoid a leadership contest and suspend the rules of her party?

After blowing a gasket in 2006, failing again in 2008 some STILL believe they are the natural governing party.

The deep thinkers in the Liberal party, media can't connect the dots.
  • Fundraising is not competitive with the CPC. Liberals can't count.
  • Leadership debts needed another extension after Elections Canada could not give any more.
  • The GST overpayment and leadership loans loopholes once closed will end the double dipping and backdoor money.
  • Liberals have muzzled Ignatieff and refused to hold any adult conversation on policy since losing in 2008.
  • In every opportunity to face the voters, Liberals have asked Liberal MPs skip votes.
  • Liberal strategists
  • The Liberals have refused to accept their role in the minority coalition with the Conservative agenda since 2006.
How do you explain that so many bills have passed since 2006? Thanks should go to Dion and Ignatieff who have been instrumental in not being prepared and doing the heavy lifting in providing a real alternative that is acceptable to Canadians.

The Liberal media have spent years trying to tell Canadians how to feel, what to think and why they should return the Liberals back to power with little success.

Reminds me of the clowns that have pushed a divestment campaign against the only democracy in the Middle East.

Have your protests, print your signs, chant and make an ass of yourself in public, the world has decided a long time ago losers don't make the decisions. Your time is up. h/t Dr. Roy The campaign against Israel: epic fail

The failure in the Liberal media, alleged progressive bloggers is they are not in touch with reality of regular Canadians. It's the economy stupid! &  trust.

Three Liberal Premiers are busy hiking fees, taxes, cutting services in BC, Ontario and Quebec. Liberals are NOT spreading the pain but hitting the middle class with the burden for their social engineering projects.

Canadians are much smarter than the political strategists, liberal bloggers and Liberal media. We are aware of who is screwing with us.

Soapbox: Political Engagement: Liberal Media

I joined the Blogging community in the Fall of 2009 with CanadianSense as an outlet to express some of my thoughts regarding the political landscape of the Liberal mind and the liberal media.

My political leanings naturally gravitated towards the Blogging Tories community. As a Conservative, a concern and protection for the environment has been an important consideration. The community of Blogging Tories has a wide range of views and for the most part are not prone to censorship or comment moderation for dissenting views.
The left of centre suggest they are open minded but my own experience finds them less tolerant of views that are in conflict with their views of a just society.  It reminds me of Nancy Pelosi characterization of citizens engaged in calling for less spending by government. (Astro-turf)

In the thirteen years the Liberals were in power including majorities, free votes for MPs were not tolerated. Many Liberal MPs that chose to express the interests of their own constituents were effectively removed from caucus. It is interesting after the most recent experience with this history, an analysis of The Anatomy of the Liberal Defeat to hear Liberals continuing to ignore the facts.
  • Conservatives have MPs in all regions of Canada and fell ten seats short of a majority.
  • The last Liberal Majority was a result of an NDP collapse and a split right.
  • Voters in larger numbers in rural, suburbs and cities vote Conservative, Democrat, Green.
  • Visible minorities and many large communities of faith are no longer supporting the Federal Liberal Party.

The egalitarianism and welfarism of modern liberal government are incompatible with the facts of human nature and the human condition. But the rise to power of the liberal agenda has resulted from the fact that the people of western societies have irrationally demanded that governments take care of them and manage their lives instead of protecting their property rights. This misconception results in massive violations of those rights while permitting government officials to act out their own and their constituents’ psychopathology...

How do you explain the reaction of liberals, the liberal media to pushing the victimization of the protesters (activists)? Police Chief Blair is a political appointee of David Miller, Mayor of Toronto. Dalton McGuinty is the Premier of Ontario.

How do Liberals defend and explain their attacks on the left of centre parties and the Conservatives without accepting criticism for their mistakes and failures?

How much time was spent by the Liberal media highlighting environmental damage, bird mortality by 'dirty oil' while ignoring the same mortality as a result of embracing the Green Energy industry?

The Green Energy Act enacted by the Ontario Liberal government majority has effectively removed any local input in reviewing or halting the conversion of land for use by energy companies to install Giant fans and their supporting infrastructure.

The Mayor of Toronto, left of centre councillors have not imposed the same environmental solutions to address the waste, energy consumption generated on their own citizens. Why are the suburbs, rural citizens being asked to accept refuse and energy consumption needs of the residents of Toronto?

Why does Toronto NOT follow their own sustainable development for the alleged benefits of the Green Agenda? The transmission lines would be much shorter and the City of Toronto could demostrate the merits to the smaller communities that are not convinced of the economic, environmental benefits. The impact of not having trucks haul garbage outside the city, reducing the airshed quality of the neighbouring cities would seem environmentally sound.

On the flip side the comment moderation or censorship practices on the Liberal blogging community is very interesting.

Feedback, comments from the hosts of these  Conservative or Liberal blogging sites that have turned on comment moderation in order to protect their site from ad-hominem attacks. After a few weeks the moderation policy would no longer be necessary?

I am curious if the bloggers who originally joined this self-publishing exercise in order to express their opinion, share ideas have found a consensus regarding a need for an alternative voice. SunTV is just another activity by those who don't feel their voice is being heard and an opportunity to earn a profit.

From my perspective, the panic, fear,  from the voice in the left, are concerned with competition ..researchers turned their attention to television news alone they found that coverage by the CBC was most harsh against conservative positions ...Ryerson University professors Marsha Barber and Ann Rauhala ..The researchers found that the news directors, whom they describe as the people "with the most direct responsibility for programming the news on any given day," were more politically and socially liberal than the rest of the Canadian population. Broken down by network, those working for the CBC were the most left-leaning.-2003 Donner Prize-nominated book, Hidden Agendas: How Journalists Influence the News
Chris Selley succinctly sums up everything wrong with the Federal Liberals since Ignatieff took over the helm of the Liberal Party. One thing he did not do wrong.

The UN, Liberal Media, Anti-Israel Groups Unite

The pile on against Israel has started regarding a failure of IDF to anticipate the extremists on board the last ship in the floatilla trying to break the naval blockade.

They did not experience violence, resistance on the first five boats and may have been lulled into a false sense of security.

Between thirty to fifty extremists on the last boat did not follow requests from the IDF. The extremists were prepared with weapons to resist the commandos that were landing in small numbers to inspect the cargo and redirect the boat.

The extremists quickly overwhelmed the individuals with metal poles and swarming them from all sides. They resisted the paint ball warning shots, verbal commands to stop. Numerous videos are available.

An IDF commando was thrown thirty feet over the rail and sustained serious head injuries.

This was not a peaceful resistance, it was another provocation to inflame hatred and distrust for the only democratic state to exist.

I am perplexed on the reaction to North Korea murdering 46 South Koreans, Russian Navy releasing ten Somalis to the open sea  in "international" waters in comparison the loss of life of 10 extremists aboard one boat trying to break a naval blockade.

Investigation Result on the Sinking of ROKS "Cheonan"
Multinational Combined Intelligence Task Force, comprised of 5 states including the US, Australia, Canada and the UK:
  • North Korean military is in possession of a fleet of about 70 submarines. It also possesses torpedoes of various capabilities including straight running, acoustic and wake homing torpedoes with a net explosive weight of about 200 to 300kg, which can deliver the same level of damage that was delivered to the ROKS" Cheonan."
Based on all such relevant facts and classified analysis, we have reached the clear conclusion that ROKS "Cheonan" was sunk as the result of an external underwater explosion caused by a torpedo made in North Korea. The evidence points overwhelmingly to the conclusion that the torpedo was fired by a North Korean submarine. There is no other plausible explanation. -Report May 20 2010

The Joint Civilian-Military Investigation Group(JIG) conducted its investigation with 25 experts from 10 top Korean expert agencies, 22 military experts, 3 experts recommended by the National Assembly, and 24 foreign experts constituting 4 support teams from the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Sweden. The JIG is composed of four teams--Scientific Investigation Team, Explosive Analysis Team, Ship Structure Management Team, and Intelligence Analysis Team.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said the report was "deeply troubling".

The Report is conclusive and clear? Ten days after the report, China or Russia require more proof. China has the most influence with North Korea, and should cooperate with South Korea and Japan in punishing North Korea.

May 6, 2010.
Russian investigators said 10 captured pirates, who seized the China-bound MV Moscow University in the Gulf of Aden, will be brought to Moscow for prosecution.- Reuters

The tanker, with a Russian crew of 23, was hijacked on May 5 off the Somali coast. After a Russian naval operation on May 6 freed the tanker, capturing 10 pirates and killing one, the disarmed pirates were put into inflatable boats without navigational systems and pushed off into open waters.

Russia said it had no choice but to set the pirates adrift, citing the absence of international laws to prosecute them, and their boat disappeared from radars an hour later. A top-ranking Defense Ministry source said on Tuesday the pirates are believed to have died.
The UN, Human Rights, Amnesty International and the rest of the world were understandably silent - after all, this was an internal affair of two non-Western groups, and there was no concern that Jews or Americans could be hurting the pirates - which in the end meant that a pirate's life was worth less than Obama's promises from 2007 - if said pirate was captured by Russians....  - Hyphenated American

Why the double standard with the Human Rights Groups, the UN, the media? Are South Koreans, Somali lives not as important?

Where is the call for a complete and thorough investigation by European Union states, UN against North Korea and Russia?

I support Israel in their right to protect its border, keep up a naval blockade, inspection of ships or persons and its right to exist.

Quebecers out of touch vs R.O.C. ( N.A.T.O & U.S.)

Are all Quebecers unique, pessimistic in their opposition to the mission or any armed conflict? Are both English and French Quebecers equally opposed to the mission? Seventy-five per cent of Quebecers polled between April 8-9, 2010 were against the use of the Canadian Military in Afghanistan. BC was second with 56%, a 19% gap in opposition of the mission. Angus Poll here.

Our media, our educational institutions, Politicians of all parties provincially, federally in Quebec are failing to effectively reach out, communicate the importance and goodwork in Afghanistan. They failed to do the same regarding WWI, WWII.

A country requires all regions supporting, having faith in our military and government in the use of deadly force in dealing with genocidal dictators or rogue states.

Dan Gardner: Try Googling Errol Mendes Liberal

When Dan Gardner writes a hit piece comparing our PM to a disgraced American President, communist dictator, American-Italian gangster, English king in order to revisit  "expert" opinion on prorogue.
This naturally led me to imagine which figures from history best exemplify Stephen Harper. At first I thought of the obvious contenders — Richard Nixon, Fidel Castro, Michael Corleone — but then I hit on King Charles I, circa 1635.- Danny G. (Nice thanks Danny!) Can't find any references in Canadian politics: Liberals PM hint Jean Chretien or NDP Ontario leader Bob Rae who used prorogue on several occasions?
Hey Danny G, did you check to see if the expert had any relationship with the previous Liberal Government?
Just curious, seems like a number of media outlets, journalists are forgetting to include a potential bias.
To find bias by use of experts or sources, stay alert to the affiliations and political perspective of those quoted as experts or authorities in news stories. Not all stories will include experts, but in those that do, make sure about an equal number of conservatives and liberals are quoted. If a story quotes non-experts, such as those portrayed as average citizens, check to be sure that about an equal number come from both sides of the issue in question. Also check to see if a reporter's generalization about how "economists across the political spectrum" or "most health care specialists" is supported by subsequently cited experts. If they are all or overwhelmingly from one side of the political spectrum, then you've come across bias by use of sources. - Fair Press http://www.fairpress.org/identify.htm
I already blogged on this before MSM: Are They Cherry Picking Experts?
Danny where is that conservative expert in your article or the affiliations and political perspective on Errol Mendes? Hint it took me all of 0.28 seconds to find a problem. Too busy to use Google? Pity....
In September 2005, the Ottawa Citizen reported an appointment to the Privy Council Office:
Mr. Martin made several other appointments yesterday within bureaucracy's senior ranks, including the hiring of University of Ottawa law professor Errol Mendes as a senior advisor in the Privy Council Office to handle diversity in the public service and other special projects.
So maybe the media could report Errol Mendes as "University of Ottawa law professor and former senior Liberal advisor under Paul Martin".
Oh, and then there is this. Since 2006, Errol Mendes has contributed over $3,600 to the Liberal Party, including over $200 in the past year.
So maybe the media could report Errol Mendes as "University of Ottawa law professor, Liberal Party supporter, and former senior Liberal advisor under Paul Martin".
Errol Mendes' opinions might be worth reporting. I'm sure they are well thought out and thought provoking. But that he is also cheek-and-jowl with the Liberal Party in recent years, including a prime ministerial appointment to the PCO, is thought provoking as well. -Steve Janke (Conservative Blogger CPC supporter)
Conservative Blogger and CPC supporter Stephen Taylor on Prorogue here
An historical perspective shows that prorogation is quite a common parliamentary procedure in the country and most prorogations have passed without too much ink spilled on the pages of Canada’s historic newspapers.
After the latest CBC, Ekos President Frank Graves blow up you would hope the media would be able to spend 0.28 seconds on Goggle to double check and look for potential bias. Oh well.
BTW Danny I became a CPC voter (no financial or employment biases) after moving to Mississauga 1999 -2000,  voted Liberal, NDP in York South Weston until John Nunizata GST became an Independent. As an Oakville resident now voting for another great CPC MP Terence Young. I am proud of our PM, are you?

Reality Check Pollsters

The Conservatives are "in control of their destiny" over the next year, Mr. Nanos said, adding that Mr. Harper has likely learned a lesson from his unpopular decision to suspend Parliament for strategic reasons.
"The one lesson in the last 60 days that the Conservatives have learned is that even when you're sitting on a 10-point lead, it can change very quickly just from one political move," he said. "I expect that the Conservatives will be more circumspect."- Nik Nanos, The Hill Times

The Political parties have NOT moved within the Polls substantially for any extended period of time. The Liberals have been above their 2008 historical low 26% for ALL of 2009, 2010 except for one month.

The Ignatieff led Liberals managed to repeat Dion in losing every contest in 2009 against the government and other political parties in November 2009.
Voters are NOT engaged in the publicity stunts being manufactured on the Hill, and widely reported by the media.
Every Pollster did capture the FACT when Liberals utter election, their number retreated in the Fall of 2009.
The lesson for the Liberal Party of Canada, they are NOT viewed as an alternative government, government in waiting by the majority of Canadians including their base.
The voters are much smarter than the political parties, the media and pollsters that are trying to capture the mood or secrets to winning.

Is the Media Pushing Michael Ignatieff Out?

Time Is Up?

Charles Adler thinks so. Some of us think some in the left leaning MSM are pushing for another showdown this March 3, 2009 when parliament meets. The MSM has been active fabricating crisis after crisis in hopes Canadians will turn against the current government.

The fourth estate has been under a great deal of pressure as consumers have turned away from the traditional product. Some in the media have not come to grips how much prestige they have lost over the years in regards to shaping public opinion and ultimately influencing action. In Job Rankings a newspaper reporter scores lower than a Janitor and Tax Collector.

That's right a Newspaper reporter is over 100 rankings below! (Wouldn't you be angry after that all the school?)

Media Bias?

Here is an incomplete list of media fabricated stories in 2009.
  1. Liberals are likely to form the next government in January-September.
  2. CPC minister is in trouble for: "fill in the blank".
  3. Internal rumblings within the CPC to replace PM.
  4. Communion Wafer story at state funeral.
  5. Prime Minister being late for a photo op.
  6. H1N1, bodybags sent by gov't.
  7. Partisan spending bias regarding EAP
  8. Olympic Logo Bias.
  9. Olympic Torch Relay Bias.
  10. COP15 Canada is a significant player or blamed on world stage.
  11. Canadian Government is participating in a cover up : torture, abuse rampant in Afghanistan.
Media Bias strikes early in 2010

The left leaning media has begun a new campaign that we have a dictatorship in Canada because our PM has invoked a twenty two day delay in the house returning. The Media has been very active in promoting a Facebook group labeling it a large grassroots movement.

High Hopes

Some in the media had high hopes in Michael Ignatieff when he was first recruited by the Liberal Party. The grassroots were not impressed, they rejected him in Montreal. His (college buddy) Bob Rae on the final ballot refused to endorse Ignatieff and let his followers put Dion in charge.

The  media discovered another wasted honeymoon and a similar pattern as Iffy and his party remains unprepared to challenge the Harper led government. The media bias acts as a fluffer for the Liberal Party.
The deeper problem for Ignatieff may not be missed opportunities, but lack of authenticity. Rae is effective because he responds spontaneously, often with humour; he says what he means. Ignatieff says what he reads. S.R.
Has the media now shifted their hopes to Bob Rae to lead them back to the promised land for 2011?

The Liberal Media and their Coalition despise our Military and love Taxes

"I spent a good part of 2006 in Kandahar - three tours of between four to six weeks each in about 10 months, with another tour in '07 - as an embedded reporter, which means I travelled with Canadian troops. I counted on them to keep my ass safe, and they did. I liked them hugely. The experience was one of the most significant of my life (if not on a par with the drama of being, say, in a budget lockup) and I treasure every minute of it. I made some lifelong friends, and I love some of these men."-Christie Blatchford

How many articles from the Liberal media on the welfare of the detainees murderers* vs other aspects of the mission?  How many questions in QP from the Coalition on the Detainees murderers vs other aspects of the mission? (Hint over 120 questions* in December 2009.)

The Federal Government has been consistent on this matter and have forced the coaltition to raise their baseless accusations to the next level. You have a hammer and can withdraw your confidence if you believe in the baseless allegations.

They have taken every opportunity to politicize every issue and to score cheap political points,' Baird says in press conference meant to highlight government accomplishments.

Judging by the Polls most Canadians would agree with Baird.  The current government continues to lead  in almost every METRIC in the latest EKOS Poll. They have a substantial lead in the 45-65+ demographic (highest voter turnout). Quebec is the only province that does give the current government a clear lead. A regional leger poll shows the CPC and the Liberals are tied and the Quebec City beachead is within General Election results of 2008.

  1. Civil Servants trained are responsible for redaction. Not any Federal Minister.
  2. Liberal led government had no detaine Policy for years 2001-2005 outside ISAF guidelines.
  3. The Liberal led government crafted a weak Detainee Policy near the end of 2005.
  4. CPC led government made changes to Liberal Detainee Policy and made substantial investments.
  5. We have notes on a single incident demostrating our Military has done the right thing.
The Liberal media and opposition have chosen to spend all of December trying to create another scandal alleging a conspiracy and cover up by the current Federal Government and a failure in our Military protecting the Human Rights abuses of Detainess murderers and scumbags. From 2001-2005 where was the Liberal media and their concern for the murderers and scumbags?

When information is made know the Government and the Military have acted properly, to suggest otherwise is just plain silly. Are were revisiting the same issue again for what purpose?

“Canadian authorities were informed on November 5, 2007, by Canada’s monitoring team, of a credible allegation of mistreatment pertaining to one Canadian-transferred detainee held in an Afghan detention facility,” says the letter, dated Tuesday, and written by senior Justice Department lawyer J. Sanderson Graham.

“As a consequence there have been no transfers of detainees to Afghan authorities since that date. The allegation is under investigation by Afghan authorities. Canada will resume transferring detainees when it believes it can do so in accordance with its international legal obligations.”

Amensty International, BC Civil Liberties Association wants to extend the protection of the Charter of Rights & Freedom to the murderers and scumbags and our top court refused to hear their arguement in May 2007.
The Coalition and the Liberal media are free to try again to extend them more protection and freedom.

Where were the truth seeking moralist bloggers from 2001-2005 concerns about the treatment of these detainees murderers and scumbags?

Billions on a the New Tobin Tax (Global Carbon Scheme)

The same Liberal media and opposition has ignored to REPORT for two weeks, investigate the alleged illegal activity of the a small number of individuals who have tainted the peer review process, acted illegally on the freedom of information requests, deleted raw data, and evidence from a few in the emails to hide the decline, repeat a the trick. The BBC sat on the leaked emails for five weeks.

The UN has become complicit in Climategate by intimidating an accredited journalist from asking questions at a book release held at a UN Correction: COP 15 event.
Professor Stephen Schneider’s assistant requested armed UN security officers who held film maker Phelim McAleer, ordered him to stop filming and prevented further questioning after the press conference where the Stanford academic was launching a book.

Where is the neutrality of the Canadian media under reporting the first Global Tax and pushing an incident from three years ago?
