Have the Canadian people been fed some sort of mind altering drugs out east? What is wrong with them when they condone stealing, lying, cheating, runaround wearing CCCP toques, supporting socialist causes. Have the socialists around the world not killed enough people yet? I hope the Liberals go broke and the party dissolves.

hahahahahahahah... oh, you are really losing it now CS.

That Harris Decima poll today showing Harper losing even more support and now even HD is saying they are tied, confirming the other half dozen polls in the last several weeks showing Harper has blown it big time... that is obviously really really getting to you.

I'm not sure who has said Harper is doomed. He's not and the Liberals still have some big hills to climb. But Harper has shown that despite the war machine and the huge war chest he has accumulated, he is disconnected with Canadians right now.

Will this result in a win for the Liberals? I don't know anyone who is claiming that either - Again, you have to come out of your world every now and then - but their chances are better now than they have been since 2004.

But I'm curious, as always, at how you use words. You say cherry pick which means the selective picking of some and ignoring of others. What poll in 2010 has not shown the things you say are not happening - i.e. plummetting numbers for Harper, majority disagreeing with him on prorogation - which polls that show this is not the case in 2010 are being ignored?

I don't hope the Liberals go broke.

I hope they get stronger so we can have a more productive policy discussion in Canada.

This whole "Stephen Harper is evil" thing has gone stale.

I remember a poll last April that had the Liberals in majority territory. It didn't last.

Teddy sure loves to debate semantics!

Ted B,

I am not qualified to help you with you version of reality.

I have shown with pictures for the challenged how Polls move up and down.

I have also used DATA from Elections Canada demostrating the Liberals have failed to grow or shorten the financial gap.

I don't speculate of a few POLLS and exclude the DATA from 2000-2010.

I don't count Christmas Holidays or weekends for missing sitting days.

Your majority has NOT materialized for the Liberals since 2000. That is nearly a decade.

The other political parties have benefitted from the Liberals deathspiral.

The NDP and Bloc look to make more gains at Liberal expense and the last few urban centres strongholds will not withstand the NDP, Bloc, CPC campaign.

November 2009 reinforced how weak the Liberals were and nothing has changed inside the organization to change the apathy and the lack of a coherent plan.

Patrick Ross if the court cases are not appealed we are looking at millions potentially.

GST overpayment for the CPC was nearly 600k.

The leadership debts seem too low at 290k. I need to keep digging.

The Liberal Party introduced the subsidy to minimize the Big donations from business and unions.

They have failed to connect with regular Canadians outside the existing regular donors. Dion has a high watermark of 15k in the 3rd qtr in 2008 and Iffy has hit 19k only in third quarter.

I posted about tapping the Big Fish months ago.

The Liberals posted a tie, a lead within the MOE for several months. For most of 2009 they were competitive in the Polls. Only after Sudbury did the floor collapse as the public were told Iffy was theatening another election.

Iffy Polls the best when he is hiding (winter 2008), summer 2009 in bunker, France winter 2009.

The quieter and fundraising tours to repay debts has NOT hurt them. Only when he makes too much noise and threatens to pull a trigger do the public get to see an empty suit.

We've been on defence ever since Copenhagen. Just about every one of our enemies--too many to list-- has taken their cheap shots at us. And the Reckless media coverage on the prorogue reached new lows.

My guess is that media darling Donolo, called in some favors, and got his press pals to do a full-court press on us over the prorogue.

I mean come on, the Torstar has a balzing front page headline "Grassroots Revolt", when the FB group had 20,000 members ???
And the Globe does their first front page editorial in ages, on the prorogue ??? The fix was in.

But, as pollster Bruce Anderson said on CBC's Power & Politics, the Throne Speech and Budget will allow us to take back the initiative. i.e. go on the offensive.

I'll start to worry when these poll numbers stay tight for a couple of months.

Patrick Ross,

ROFL

Policy discussion Liberals....

Sorry I missed the sarcasm.

wilson said...

Iffy says 'it's not his problem'

So there will be no policy discussiohs with the Liberals.
PMSH and th government will have to go the policy thing alone.
Which is good.

5 new Conservative Senators on Friday!
I can already hear the bitching and moaning Iffy will do about that.

There will come a point when Canadians will tire of Iffy running down PMSH.

But it's been like this since 2003, non-stop bashing.
PMSH must be a fantastic team player, to be able to keep the CPC MPs all motivated.

Oh my,
Iffy came out with policy today, and Liberals ignored it!
Nothing at Liblogs, even Wherry hasn't posted anything, yet.

To get Canadians back to work,
heeeeeeeeere's Iffy:

cash advances to 'some' manufacturers....I guess they get to pick the winners, which will likely be the ones that don't need the money.

Kids without jobs is a scandal, iffy says...so mess with the EI system to pay businesses to hire them.

Tax incentives for entrepreneurs
in 'some' sectors...yah, winner/loser thing again

That's it, and that is it in detail...really, these are the details

The link can be found at CBC Ted, go fish....

The_Iceman said...

You have to wonder if the idea of paying business to hire young people will backfire on Ignatieff. Let's not forget that the bulk of the voting population are over the age of 40, and are people competing with the young and inexperienced for employment. Mandating youth employment will only take jobs away from the bulk of the voting population.

"cash advances to 'some' manufacturers"

You mean "manufacturers" of the Liberal support persuasion...wink, wink.

CanadianSense said...

Alberta Girl,

I don't know how big the problem is as the Gomery investigation was not allowed to dig deeply.

An MP (Del Mastro?) recently suggested we restart the Adscam investigations to recover the estimated $ 34 million still unaccounted for.

Mr. Corbeil acknowledged earlier this year that he approved six fake invoices worth $117,000 as director-general of the Quebec wing of the Liberal Party of Canada in 1999 and 2000. He also acknowledged getting a $50,000 kickback in 1997.

He said at his sentencing hearing that he did not benefit financially from the crimes.
