Attempts to build a multicultural society in Germany have "utterly failed", Chancellor Angela Merkel says.
She said the so-called "multikulti" concept - where people would "live side-by-side" happily - did not work, and immigrants needed to do more to integrate - including learning German.
The comments come amid rising anti-immigration feeling in Germany. A recent survey suggested more than 30% of people believed the country was "overrun by foreigners".

Is the German government correct?
I am curious if the coalition of Larry, Curl and Moe will share their feelings about the recent comments from the UN security seat victor that beat Canada out. After all Liberal pundits in the camp of Liberals and Democrats in Canada feel Canada is less deserving than Germany and Portugal.
The UN decision is a validation tool for Liberals in favour:

Why not adopt the position of Germany for a melting pot assimilation? The UN security council is an important, vital, critical cool club where the cool kids hang out! Liberals-Democrats are devastated that we did not get picked. Ask Mikey or Jack they are upset. Are most countries in the IOC in favour of a similar "melting pot" towards Islam-Sharia for their citizens. What do you think, is this a cool club and do you to fit in?
I am proud this government stood tall and did not bow down to the pressure by Liberals to fit in. Canada does not need to follow but lead. Give them heck boys, this century belongs to Canada!
