Conservatives Best Represent Family Values

Just over one-third of Canadians (35 per cent) favour Prime Minister Stephen Harper's party when it comes to family issues, while nearly three in 10 (27 per cent) believe Jack Layton's NDP is the most family-friendly. Just two in 10 (19 per cent) vouch for the Liberals as led by Michael Ignatieff when it comes to family issues.
"What was . . . more instructive out of this poll was not so much the Tories themselves and how they've been able to capture that vote, but the utter loss of the Liberal party to come anywhere close," says John Wright, senior vice-president with Ipsos Reid. "I think the Liberal party would be a little shocked to see that they've lost or haven't got a key constituency."
Forty-one per cent of parents believe the Tories are the best party for families, compared to 24 per cent of those without children. One-third (34 per cent) of non-parents say the NDP best understands families, compared to 23 per cent of those with children who favour the NDP. The split is closer for the Liberals, with 18 per cent of parents and 19 per cent of those without children saying they're the best party for families. Tories most in tune with families
The local contest in Vaughan will be very interesting. Conservatives have a track record of delivering help in a timely manner. The family friendly policies are in a direct contrast to the current Liberal Party.
For instance, here in Vaughan, we’re improving the Humber trails system, renovating the McMichael grounds, installing energy efficient lighting on Major Mac, resurfacing roads across the city from arteries like Bathurst, Keele, Dufferin, Weston Road and Martin Grove to smaller streets, like the ones behind Thornhill Park.  We’re fixing up the Maple Community Centre, redeveloping Rainbow Creek Park.  We’re installing an elevator and renovating the rink at the Al Paladini Community Centre.- Economic Action Plan

The Government of Canada will contribute $5 million to create a Canadian centre for youth at the University of L’Aquila, which was badly damaged in the earthquake.  The construction of the youth centre is part of the international community’s efforts to help residents of Abruzzo rebuild their lives and their community. - PM Stephen Harper
Phil Esposito Julian Fantino, Giancarlo Gianni
The Candidate Julio Fantino along with other has been recognized by his community for his public service and charitable efforts in the community inducted into the Italian Hall of Fame Il Postino
Anyone notice the choice of colour and the lack of Red used in the campaign for Mayor from Maurizio Bevilacqua? Bill C 302 - Now another Conservative government is addressing the issue and offering an apology and money to the same communities that were rebuffed by the Liberal governments of Trudeau and Jean Chrétien. Shameless Liberals shop for the Ethnic vote
Anyone see a photo of a large crowd with Tony Genco at Supreme Banquet Hall, we have conflicting reports between 250, 600 or 1200.  h/t Stephen Taylor
Looks like the political junkies want to generate some excitement and have some fun.
