Maternal Health: Abortion Stunt Fails

Two liberal MP's showed up to vote against their party. Some were missing. How did they vote link here.

The debate had many opposition MP's talking about the importance of funding abortion for the third world.

Who would have thought that an attempt to divide the Tories would instead divide the Liberals. If they can't keep it together on abortion, how will the glue hold on our soldiers committing war crimes?

I'm betting there are a few MPs over there considering a floor cross...

The train wreck is one election away from Janine Krieber's prediction.

The signs are out there of organizational, leadership chaos.

Nancy Charest, Denis Coderre. Rocco bailing before 4th quarter etc.

The MP's were Paul Szabo, Dan McTeague (who I expected) and John Mackay. Also Albina Guarnieri, Gurbax Malhi and Derek Lee abstained.

Thank you CC, I will update blogpost with thanks to the MIA Liberals that did not support reopening the abortion debate and this motion.

I guess they have just had enough with being closet pro-lifers in the LPC.

They 'came out' with a bang tho,
this was the Liberal's Opposition Day Motion, whipped and with discipline expecations.
But, Danny's 6 were allowed a pass....we'll see how valuable Iffy thinks these MPs are.

Angelo Perischilli wrote about some Liberal calling him about the NFLD MP's break from the budget last year.

He kept citing the humpty dumpty ryhme.

In 1988, the Liberals forfeited one of the most significant characteristics of their party: unconditional respect for the leader. Even Lester Pearson and Trudeau had opponents within their ranks, but those divisions were never allowed to get in the way of a strong leadership.

And this weeks award for conservative moment of the week goes to those liberal MP's that have campaigned secretly as so-cons in their own ridings, have finally come out of the closet and voted agianst their party on its lame attempt to re-ignite the abortion debate.
So a tip o the hat to those blu-lids for for letting us know that so-cons do inhabit the liberal party and for your efforts you receive the Pat O'Brien recognition award...cause we know yoou won't be getting a warm welcome at caucus.

I simply can't fathom how inept the Liberal party has become.

1) Set in motion a wedge issue to demand "abortion" equality for the 3rd world when the majority support making a priority in helping the poor through food security, clean water and saving lives of mothers and their children.

This is not the party of my parents and to be honest, I am disgusted.
