Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty Prioritizes Union Agreements vs Taxpayers

"You know there's an important part of our brand as a province and as a government. When we do business with each other and do business with the world, when we give you our word, our word is our word." - Ontario's Premier The National Post

I am sure we would have forgiven you if you did not award pay out $ 25 million for severance of public service employees who are not losing their jobs.

Some promises are worth breaking, some agreements need to be re-balanced. Dalton is this "sweetheart" deal too late to fix or not worth fighting?

Hmmmmm. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but, didnt ol' Dalton sign an agreement with the Ontario Taxpayers Association and make a big deal with photo ops promising if he was elected Premier NOT to raise taxes or run defecits? This is a gutless man..I didnt tbink so at first, but, as time has gone by its very apparent he's a man that runs from problems and will do anything to avoid confrontation. I know politicians of all stripes bend and spin the truth, but, when your unwilling to fight for 54 million taxpayer dollars on the most basic of moral and ethical values just because you want to avoid a fight with a union??..then you really are a coward...sorry, but, its the truth. billg
